November 2014
Heather Drach - Lake Forest, IL
What is your favorite exercise?
Wow, there are so many exercises to pull from; box jumps or any variation of squats for my lower body;
cobra and leg lifts with weight for my glutes; and the "triangle" sit ups for abs.
What is your favorite class?
Burn because it's basically Boot Camp with additional cardio added, and because I feel "the burn" all throughout
this class.
What do you do on your own?
In addition to FWF classes, I play tennis 2-3 times per week including cardio drills and doubles matches. I also use our treadmill to run at home, especially if I need to get my Fitbit steps in to stay competitive with my "Fitbit Friends". When I can't make it to Fronzie's studio (when I'm out of town), I pull from Fronzie's workout videos. She even has great workouts that don't require any equipment.
What is your ultimate fitness goal?
My ultimate fitness goal is two-fold. I want to continue challenging myself with those love-to-hate but are so effective exercises that will increase my shoulder strength and also tone and trim my lower body (hips, butt and thighs of course).
Why FWF finds Heather so inspiring:
Heather has been coming to FWF for a couple of years and we have seen how much stronger - both cardiovascular she has become over this time. When Heather walks into class, she comes ready to work hard and gives 100% effort - every single time. She is completely focused on the workout that is presented to her when she walks through the door.
Most weeks, Heather attends between 3 - 4 FWF classes, mixing it up with different types of classes. In addition, on her FWF off-days, she does her own workouts, like cardio tennis.
Heather is leading by example as she encourages her family to join her on workouts. Most recently they all ran in the LEAD Red Ribbon Race.
October 2014
Bari Cohn - Deerfield, IL
"I could never have come this far without the support of Fronzie!
She pushes me to work harder every single week. I love the fact
that she helps me not only with my exercise, but diet and nutrition as well."
What inspires you to work hard?
I started on a weight loss journey with a friend. Attempting to lose 5lbs at a time.
Every time I reached my goal, I set a new one and kept going. Seeing pictures of
myself before this journey reminds me that I want to continue to get healthier.
What is your favorite exercise?
Intervals on the treadmill [BURN class & Advanced TRX Intervals]. I love
and hate it at the same time. Hate that it's so hard, but love the intense workout.
What is the most helpful nutrition tip you follow?
No sugar or flour ....except in a frozen yogurt treat every now and then.
What is your ultimate fitness goal?
I guess to keep setting small goals...like running 3 miles. Doing it and setting a new goal. Just to keep pushing myself to the next level.....whatever that may be.
Why FWF finds Bari so inspiring: I have known Bari for a couple of years now and love the way she approaches her workouts. She comes in with a positive attitude and always gives 100% effort even when she is tired or not feeling like giving it her all. Bari is eager to learn new things, takes form correction well, and always wants to get to the next level.
Her lighthearted mood and funny interjections throughout the class, make her an added bonus to any class she attends. Her energy is contagious and while others feed off of her energy they work harder because she is in the class.
Even though Bari works full-time, she tries to come to 4 - yes 4 - Fit with Fronzie classes a week - Bari mixes her workouts up with HIIT, Burn and TRX classes. On her FWF "off-days", Bari will run (a practice she just started 4 months ago) or complete a Fit with Fronzie You-tube video. She has lost over 50 pounds! Bari has given lots of kudos to FWF for her progress, but truly, she has to show up to class and give the effort; she controls what she eats, and she is the ultimate decision-maker on how much she will give. Kudos Bari! So proud of you! Keep it up!
